He was a British textile designer poet, novelist and social activist.

He was heavily involved in the Arts and Craft Movement.

He created floral patterns inspired by flowers and plants.

William Morris started his own printing company. This allowed him to design and print his own wallpaper. Due to the Industrial Revolution, it was popular to decorate your home with pictures and patterns inspired by nature. This was to reduce the effect of industrialisation in the home.

He is mainly known for his wallpaper and textile designs.

He was the most celebrated designer of the Arts and Craft Movement.
